The Congress of Aboriginal People’s (CAP) skills training funding is for members of the Ontario Coalition of Indigenous Peoples (OCIP) who are trying to enter the labour market.
Any program leading to employment is eligible for funding by the ISET program. In addition, the last year of a university undergraduate degree program is also eligible.
You will be placed on a wait list until funding becomes available if you have previously completed a skills training program or have significant work experience.
You are not eligible for funding through the OCIP/CAP ISET program for University Masters and Ph. D programs; or if you have recently completed a skills training program funded by OCIP/CAP. Unless you are facing a loss of employment, upskill training is also ineligible.
